"The alarm works great. My son is HOH and in his first apartment
at college and the alarm really sets my mind at ease. He tends to
sleep with covers over his head so I had reservations about the strobe lights.
Thanks so much for making this available."

Dear Abby calls for better smoke alarm.
The Darrow Company -
Offering low frequency devices since 2002.
Typical smoke alarms are too high pitched to be effective for waking many populations. They are around 3,000Hz. Our smoke detectors generate 520 Hz, 250 Hz, and 135 Hz respectively.
"Independent studies evaluated the performance of six different signals for waking up hard of hearing people from deep sleep and found the 520 Hz square wave to be the most effective of all the signals." See article.
The Loudenlow generates a more effective alarm sound.
